OVEN BARBECUED RIBS 
4 lb. pork spareribs
1 tbsp. butter
1 clove garlic, diced fine
1/2 c. catsup
1/3 c. chili sauce
2 tbsp. brown sugar
2 tbsp. chopped onion
1 tbsp. prepared mustard
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. celery seed
1/4 tsp. salt
Dash hot pepper sauce
3 thin slices of lemon

In a large saucepan, add enough water to cover ribs. Cover and simmer until nearly tender, about 1 hour. Meanwhile, in saucepan melt butter, add onion and garlic and cook 4 to 5 minutes. Add catsup, Worcestershire sauce, celery seed, salt and hot pepper sauce and lemon slices, mustard, chili sauce and brown sugar. Bring to boil. Drain ribs, place in shallow baking dish. Pour boiling sauce over ribs. Bake in 350 degree oven for 20 minutes, basting often with sauce. Makes 4 servings.
