LAYERED SALAD OLE 
1 qt. lettuce, shredded
1 lg. cucumber, halved & thinly sliced
3 med. tomatoes, chopped
2 med. avocados, sliced
2 green peppers, chopped
1 1/2 c. mayonnaise
1/4 c. green chilies, chopped
2 tsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. onion powder
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. tortilla chips, chopped

Layer lettuce, cucumber, tomato, avocado, and green pepper in 2 1/2 quart glass salad bowl. Combine mayonnaise, green chilies, chili powder, onion powder, garlic powder and salt. Spoon and spread dressing over green pepper layer to seal salad. Cover. Refrigerate overnight. Before serving, sprinkle tortilla chips around top edge of salad. Makes 8 to 10 servings.
