WHOOPIE PIES 
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/2 c. shortening
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. sour milk
1 tsp. baking soda
2 3/4 c. flour
1/2 c. cocoa
1/2 c. boiling water

FILLING:

1 c. confectioners sugar
1/2 jar of Fluff (small jar)
3/4 c. (1 1/2 stick) butter, softened

Add boiling water to cocoa and let stand for 10 minutes. Cream the first 6 ingredients, add milk and soda, mix well. Add flour, mixture will be stiff. Add the cocoa mixture. Let stand to cool 15 minutes in refrigerator. Drop by spoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes. Makes 36 cookies - match up according to size and fill with filling.

Directions for filling: soften the butter in a bowl on counter until room temperature or place in microwave for 10-15 seconds. Cream all 3 ingredients. Makes 18 whoopie pies.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
