NO COOK PICKLES 
6 lbs. cucumbers (6 to 8 big ones or how many it takes), unpeeled
3 1/2 c. sugar
1/3 c. salt
1 tbsp. celery salt
1 tbsp. turmeric
4 to 8 onions, sliced thin
3 c. vinegar
1 tbsp. alum
1 tbsp. mustard seed

Pack onions and cucumbers in jar. Pour pickling liquid over after sugar is dissolved and seal. Put in refrigerator and turn every day for 6 days, then they are ready to eat! Will keep up to 1 year in refrigerator. Pickle sticks can also be made instead of slices and more onion and cucumbers can be added, if desired.
