Cucumbers Vinegar 4 tbsp. salt About 5 lbs. sugar 4 drops oil of cloves 4 drops oil of cinnamon Wash cucumbers and put in large jar. Cover with vinegar and 4 tablespoons salt. Cover and mark jar and calendar for 6 weeks. Drain and discard vinegar. Slice cucumbers and return to container. Layer slices and sugar until finished. Add oil. Cover and mark jars for 6 weeks. Ready to eat. Take out amount needed and chill. Makes them taste even better. |
