SPANISH COFFEE CAKE 
3/4 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
3/4 c. oil
1 tsp. nutmeg
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. pecans
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
1 egg

Mix together the first six ingredients. Take out 3/4 cup and set aside. To this 3/4 cup, add cinnamon and pecans. To other, add buttermilk, soda and egg. Beat well. Pour into 9 x 13-inch pan. Add 3/4 cup mixture to top of batter.

Bake at 350°F for 30 to 35 minutes. Top with 2 cups powdered sugar with water (enough to pour).
