JOAN LUNDEN'S TURKEY CHILI

Safflower oil (sm. amount), or Canola oil
2 lbs. ground turkey meat
1 green pepper, chopped
1 Spanish onion, chopped
Dash of Accent
Dash of garlic powder
Dash of seasoned salt
Dash of black pepper
1 lg. can tomatoes in puree
1 1/2 med. cans tomato sauce
1 lg. can kidney beans, drained
Shot of beer
Shot of honey
2 packets commercial chili mix
Dash of cayenne pepper (opt.)

Heat oil in a large pot. Brown turkey meat. Add remaining ingredients and simmer (the longer the better). Can also be made in the crock pot, after the meat has been browned. Top with grated cheese (Mozzarella, cheddar, or Co-Jack), sour cream, oyster crackers, chopped onions, taco chips, etc.
