3 pkg. yeast 3 tbsp. shortening, melted 4 1/2 c. warm water 3 tbsp. sugar 4 1/2 tsp. salt 12 c. flour 1 c. oil Sprinkle yeast in 1/2 cup water and a little sugar. Stir until dissolved. In large bowl, dissolve sugar and salt in the remaining water. Add melted shortening and yeast, stir well. Add 12 cups of flour with the oil a little at a time, and knead until oil is all mixed in dough. Let rest 20 minutes. Then shape in rolls, let rise until dough doubles. Then bake at 400 degrees for about 20 minutes or until done. |
