DIRT CAKE 
1 pkg. Oreo cookies (16 oz.)
1 stick butter
8 oz. cream cheese
1 c. powdered sugar
2 sm. pkgs. vanilla instant pudding
1 lg. container of Cool Whip
1 1/2 c. milk

Crush Oreo cookies with a rolling pin or a food processor, set aside. In a large bowl cream together butter, cream cheese and powdered sugar. Use an electric mixer to cream these ingredients. If the mixture is too stiff you may add a little milk while creaming.

After the above mixture is creamed slowly add the dry pudding mix, the milk and the Cool Whip. Continue mixing with electric mixer until very smooth.

Place 1/3 of the cookie crumbs in bottom of serving dish. Pour 1/2 of pudding mixture over cookie crumbs. Sprinkle 1/3 of the cookie crumbs over the pudding mixture. Add the remaining pudding mixture over the cookie crumbs. For the last layer, sprinkle the remaining cookie crumbs. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour.

Just before serving arrange artificial flowers in the dirt cake. (Wrap foil around the bottom of the flowers before inserting into cake.) If you set cake with the flowers in it on the table before dinner, you have a center piece. And when dessert comes and you eat the "dirt" in the flowers, your guests will be very surprised.
