AL'S ALMOST WORLD-FAMOUS MEAT
BALLS AND SAUCE
 
SAUCE:

2 (16 oz.) cans tomatoes, blended
2 (16 oz.) cans tomato sauce
2 sm. cans tomato paste
1 sm. whole onion
1 green pepper, sliced
1 tbsp. Schilling Italian seasoning
1 tbsp. olive oil
1 tbsp. sugar
1/2 tbsp. salt
1/2 tbsp. pepper
Pinch of red pepper

MEATBALLS:

2 lbs. ground round (a little fat)
2 eggs
4 slices bread, diced
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
2 tbsp. Parmesan cheese
2 tbsp. parsley

Put sauce ingredients in pot and simmer for a day. Mix meatball ingredients in pan and fry in a little olive oil. Dump everything in pot. Add 1/2 pound mushrooms, if desired.
