ICE BOX COOKIES 
1 lb. butter
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
Vanilla
Almond extract
Walnuts, optional or candied fruit
4 to 5 c. flour

Mix with mixer, gradually adding flour. The last cut of flour I knead into dough as I roll it out on bread board. Divide dough into 5 balls. Roll out in long rolls and wrap into foil and keep in refrigerator to bake whenever you're hungry for good and fresh cookies. Very easy to keep on hand. The rolls can also be frozen. Just slice and bake about 10 minutes at 350 degrees.
