BUTTERSCOTCH ICE BOX COOKIES 
2 c. brown sugar
1 c. butter
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. cream of tartar
3 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped walnuts

Mix all of these ingredients and roll mixture into 2 separate rolls. Put rolls into freezer for 1 hour (wrapped in wax paper). Slice off cookies thin and bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes.
