YUMMY LETTUCE SALAD 
1 head iceberg lettuce, shredded in flat container
1/4 c. chopped sweet onion
1/4 c. chopped celery
1 can sliced water chestnuts, well drained
1 pkg. frozen peas (10 oz.), thawed
2 c. mayonnaise
3 tbsp. sugar
Grated Romaine or Parmesan cheese

Shred lettuce in flat container at least (9 x 13 x 2 inches). Sprinkle sweet onion and celery, water chestnuts and peas over lettuce. Add mayonnaise and spread over top of peas. Sprinkle 3 tablespoons sugar over mayonnaise. Then sprinkle cheese over sugar; let set in refrigerator at least 4 hours or longer.
