LAYERED LETTUCE SALAD 
1/2 head of iceberg lettuce
1/2 head of romaine
1 c. sliced celery
3/4 c. chopped red onion
2 c. frozen peas
3/4 c. mayonnaise or enough to spread over top
1 tsp. sugar
1/2 c. grated cheese
6 slices cooked bacon (very crisp)

In large bowl layer lettuce, celery, onion, peas, bacon. Cover bacon with mayonnaise and sprinkle evenly with sugar and cheese. Cover airtight and refrigerate overnight or several hours before serving. Toss well before serving and garnish with tomatoes.
