CORN BREAD DRESSING | |
1/4 c. chopped onion 1 c. chopped celery 3/4 c. butter, melted 4 c. bread crumbs or old biscuits or bread, crumbled 3 c. corn bread, crumbled 1 tsp. poultry seasoning 1 tsp. sage 2 c. broth Use broth from which you have boiled chicken parts. Salt and pepper added. Add any lean chicken, chopped. Brown the onions and celery in butter until tender. Add other ingredients. Stir with hands until moistened. Stiff fowl or drop loosely into a baking pan or form in pones. Bake covered at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Remove cover and bake 10 minutes longer. |
