TURKEY STUFFING | |
2 bags French bread, diced and toasted 1 med. jar diced green olives 1 green pepper, diced 5 sticks celery, diced 2 big apples, peeled and diced 1 lg. white onion 3 sm. boxes raisins 1 1/2 - 2 lbs. lean ground beef 6 link sausages 1 c. wine (optional) 1 1/4 tsp. sage 1 1/2 tsp. poultry seasoning 3/4 stick melted butter Boil giblets in large pan filled with water and season for 2 1/2 hours. Save the broth and cool. Toast and dice French read. Brown sausages until almost done, then add ground beef along with half of diced onion, add sage and poultry seasoning. Mix together above ingredients with diced things, raisins, melted butter, cup of wine then add to mixture the broth until you can form a meatball patty that will stay together. Stuff turkey and cook as directed. |
