SODA CRACKER PIE 
3 egg whites
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 c. chopped pecans
1 tsp. almond flavoring
20 soda crackers, crushed
Cool Whip

Beat egg whites until they hold a peak. Add cream of tartar, sugar and almond flavoring. Beat until sugar dissolves, then add nuts and crushed crackers.

Bake in greased pie plate for 30 minutes at 350°F. Let pie cool completely and top with Cool Whip. (Best when allowed to set overnight or for a few hours.)
