GINGER CREAMS 
1/3 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
1/2 c. molasses
1/2 c. water
2 c. flour
1 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Mix thoroughly, shortening, sugar, eggs, molasses and water. Blend in remaining ingredients. Chill 1 hour. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto cookie sheet. Bake 400 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes.
