HIGHLAND FLING - SCOTCH MEAT
LOAVES
 
1 beaten egg
1/4 c. soft bread crumbs
2 tbsp. finely chopped celery
2 tbsp. finely chopped onion
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. ground sage
Dash garlic powder
1/2 lb. lean ground beef
2 hard cooked eggs
1/4 c. chili sauce
1 tbsp. snipped parsley
1/8 tsp. dried oregano
1 tbsp. water
1 slice sharp American cheese

In mixing bowl combine beaten egg, bread crumbs, celery, onion, and rest of ingredients. Add ground beef; mix well. Shape half the meat mixture around each hard-cooked eggs, completely enclosing egg.

Arrange meat loaves in a 6 1/2 x 6 1/2 x 2 inch baking dish. Combine chili sauce, parsley, water and oregano; pour over meat loaves. Bake in 350 degree oven for 45 minutes. Spoon chili sauce mixture over loaves; top each with some cheese. Return to oven and heat until cheese melts. Serves 2.
