FRUIT BALLS 
1/2 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 (8 oz.) box dates, chopped
4 eggs
1 tsp. almond flavoring
1 tsp. vanilla
1 bag coconut
4 c. Rice Krispies
1/2 c. mixed fruit
pinch of salt
1/2 c. nuts

Melt butter; add dates. Cream sugar and eggs and add to dates and butter mixture. Cook on low until thick. Keep it stirred. Stir constantly. Take off heat and let it cool. Add Rice Krispies, fruit, nuts and flavoring. Roll into balls and then roll in coconut. Store in a cool place or freeze.

Makes about 50.
