DATE PUDDING 
3 c. brown sugar
3 c. water

Boil sugar and water for 3 minutes. Set aside.

1 c. sugar
2 tbsp. butter
2 c. flour
1/2 c. nutmeats
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. dates
Whipped cream

Cream sugar and butter. Add milk gradually with flour. Add nuts and dates. Put brown sugar syrup in 9 x 13 inch pan. Drop by spoonfuls in syrup. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes. Layer cooled pudding in dish with whipped cream.
