POTPOURRI 
1 c. cracked orange peel, well dried
1/3 c. cracked cinnamon stick
1/3 c. whole cloves
1/3 c. whole allspice

Mix well and put into a small glass jar in your kitchen. A teaspoon or two in a pan of water simmering on the back burner will create a delightful fragrance throughout your house and return a nice scented moisture to the air. If desired, substitute grapefruit, lemon or lime peel for 1/2 the orange peel. Bay leaves can be crushed into the mixture and a little anise and rosemary added. A vegetable peeler works well to clip peel from the fruit.
