NORWEGIAN MEATBALLS 
Set out 1 cup of bread crumbs. Mix together:

1 lb. ground beef
1/2 lb. ground pork
1/2 c. mashed potatoes (optional)
1 egg, beaten
1/2 c. bread crumbs
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. brown sugar
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1/4 tsp. allspice
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/8 tsp. ground cloves
1/8 tsp. ginger
1 med. onion, chopped & sauteed

Shape mixture into small balls and roll in remaining bread crumbs (bread crumbs optional). Brown in 3 tablespoons of butter on all sides and cook with cover on pan about 15 minutes. Make brown gravy and all meatballs. Serve with noodles or mashed potatoes.
