DRESSING FOR GOOSE, DUCK OR
TURKEY
 
1/2 c. raisins
1 tsp. sage
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. salt
1 med. onion, chopped
1 c. water
1/2 c. chopped celery
1/2 c. melted butter
2 beaten eggs
1 c. applesauce
4 c. cubed bread
Enough milk to make like a pudding.

Cook raisins, sage, pepper, salt, butter, celery, onion and water; boil together 10 minutes. Add beaten eggs, applesauce, bread cubes. Add enough milk to moisten.

Bake your goose, duck, chicken or turkey about an hour before adding dressing, then add some of the drippings to your dressing and put in the cavity and on top of the poultry. Finish baking until brown.
