TURKEY DRESSING | |
1 lg. or 3 sm. onions 1/4 c. butter 1/2 loaf bread (homemade best) 2 to 3 eggs Milk (amount varies) 1/2 tsp. salt Dash pepper Fry 1 large or 3 small onions (cut up) in about 1/4 cup butter, do not brown, just fry until "glossy". Break up about 1/2 loaf (large homemade loaf) of bread, beat and add 2 to 3 eggs and milk enough to moisten, add about 1/2 teaspoon salt and dash pepper, then add onion mixture. Next add some juice from turkey, duck or chicken. Bake in dish approximately 1 hour at 325 to 350 degrees. |
