VEGETABLE GARDEN MEAT PIE | |
1 egg, slightly beaten 1/3 c. catsup 1 tsp. salt 1 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce 1/8 tsp. chili powder 1/4 c. finely chopped onion 1 c. Wheat Chex cereal (bite size wheat squares), crushed to make 1/2 cup 1 lb. lean ground beef 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen mixed vegetables (cooked and drained - unsalted) 1/2 c. and 1/4 c. shredded process Cheddar cheese (3 oz.) Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine egg, catsup, salt, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder and onion. Stir in cereal crumbs. Mix in ground beef. Press gently into 10 inch pie plate, shaping to fit. Toss vegetables with 1/2 cup cheese. Turn into shell. Sprinkle remaining 1/4 cup cheese over vegetables. Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until done. Let stand 5 to 10 minutes. (Makes 4 to 6 servings.) |
