CHRISTMAS POTPOURRI 
3 (4 inch) sticks cinnamon
3 bay leaves
1/4 c. whole cloves
1/2 lemon, halved
1/2 orange, halved
4 c. water

Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer as long as needed, adding additional water to keep mixture from drying up.

You can store a batch in the refrigerator, tightly covered, for several days and revise as desired.
