SIX LAYER CASSEROLE 
1 lb. pork sausage
1 1/2 c. raw potatoes, sliced
1 1/2 c. raw onions, sliced
1 c. raw carrots, sliced
1/2 c. uncooked rice
1 1/2 c. canned tomatoes
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 tbsp. sugar

Partly cook sausage and drain off fat. Place sausage in 2-quart casserole dish. Cover with layers of rice, potatoes, onions, and carrots. Add tomatoes with juice. Combine salt, pepper, and sugar. Sprinkle over top. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Serves 4.
