JOHN'S FAVORITE CHILI 
2 lbs. ground beef
16 oz. tomato sauce
1 onion, diced
2 teaspoons garlic powder
2 1/2 teaspoons chili powder
2 teaspoons oregano
2 teaspoons salt
4 teaspoons ground cumin
1/2-1 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
2 pkg hot dogs, sliced in 1/2 inch segments
2 cans diced tomatoes
2 cans dark kidney beans
1 can beer
shredded cheese

Brown beef and onions. Add tomato sauce and garlic powder. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes.

During the simmering, brown the hot dog slices in a pan. Add remaining ingredients and hot dogs.

Stir, cover, and simmer for 1 hour. (Do not uncover to stir while simmering.)

Top with shredded cheese and serve with crackers.
