GRANDMA BIRD'S COFFEE CAKE | |
2 1/2 c. flour 3/4 c. sugar 3/4 c. brown sugar 1/2 tsp. nutmeg 1/2 tsp. salt 3/4 c. oil 1 c. buttermilk 1 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. baking soda 2 eggs 1 c. chopped pecans or walnuts Mix the first 6 ingredients together and reserve 3/4 cup for top of cake. Mix the next 5 items together and add to first mixture. Mix well. Pour into a greased and floured 9x13 inch pan. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes. |
