CHAMPIONSHIP BARS 
1/2 c. butter
1 pkg. (14 oz.) caramels
1 pkg. (10 1/2 oz.) miniature marshmallows
6 c. Wheaties or corn flakes, slightly crushed
1 c. chopped walnuts
1 can (16 oz.) coconut pecan frosting
1 pkg. (6 oz.) chocolate chips (optional)

In microwave or double boiler, melt butter and caramels. When slightly melted, add marshmallows. Heat until marshmallows are melted. Add walnuts and cereal. Mix well. Press into a well greased 9 x 13 inch pan, cool. Spread frosting evenly over top. Melt chocolate chips. Drizzle or spread over frosting. Cool and cut.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
