COCONUT POUND CAKE 
1 c. Crisco
5 eggs
2 c. sugar
2 c. plain flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 c. buttermilk
1 can coconut
1 1/2 tsp. coconut flavoring

Cream sugar and Crisco. Add eggs, buttermilk and flavoring. Slowly add flour, baking powder and salt. Mix together and bake at 350 degrees for 50 to 60 minutes.

GLAZE:

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. water
1 tsp. coconut flavoring

Bring to boil and put on cake while hot. Serve with ice cream.
