CRANBERRY BREAD 
1/2 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. orange juice
4 c. chopped cranberries
1 c. chopped nuts
4 c. all-purpose flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt

Cream together sugar and shortening. Beat in eggs and orange juice. Sift together all dry ingredients and gradually add to liquid mixture. Fold in cranberries and nuts. Turn batter into oiled loaf pan.

Makes 2 loaves in 9x5x3-inch pans.

Bake at 325°F to 350°F for about 1 hour or until brown and crusty.
