HOT AIR CANDY 
1 c. white sugar
1 c. corn syrup
1 tbsp. vinegar
1 tbsp. baking soda

Combine sugar, syrup and vinegar in heavy saucepan and cook over medium heat, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Continue cooking without stirring to 300 degrees. Remove from heat and quickly stir in soda; mix well. Pour in lightly buttered pan. Just let it spread itself in 9"x9" pan. Cool and break into pieces. Dip in chocolate if desired. This is a sponge like candy.
