DATE NUT TORTE 
1 lb. chopped dates
1 lb. chopped walnuts
1 c. flour
1 c. sugar
Pinch of salt
4 eggs

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Mix all dry ingredients. Beat eggs at high speed for 5 minutes. Stir into dry ingredients. Butter a 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan. Pour and flatten. Bake 30 to 35 minutes. Cut into squares and top with Cool Whip. Very rich!!!
