NUT TORTE WITH CHOCOLATE WHIPPED
CREAM
 
4 eggs, separated
3/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. dry bread crumbs
1/2 pt. heavy cream
2 tbsp. water
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
1 tbsp. vanilla
Nestle's Quick

Beat egg yolks with water and sugar until thick. Beat whites stiff. Fold bread crumbs, nuts and vanilla into yolks. Mix well. Fold in whites.

Grease and flour 3 cake pans. Divide batter into 3 pans. (It will be thin). Bake at 350 degrees until golden for 15 minutes. Beat cream. Add Quick until dark as you want. Spread cream on cooled layers. Sprinkle with nuts. Cake can be made a day ahead with cream being added day of serving. 12 servings.
