MEAT LOAF | |
1 1/2 lb. ground beef round 1/2 c. seasoned fine dry bread crumbs 2 eggs, slightly beaten 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce 1/2 c. finely chopped peeled onion 1/4 c. chopped seeded green pepper 1 1/2 tsp. seasoned salt 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce 1 (4 oz.) can sliced mushrooms, drained Combine beef, bread crumbs, eggs, 4 oz. (1/2 cup) tomato sauce, onion, green pepper, seasoned salt and Worcestershire sauce. Add chopped mushrooms, except for 6-8 slices to put on top later. Shape into loaf. Pour rest of tomato sauce over top and place mushrooms along top of loaf. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven uncovered for about 1 1/4 hours. Serves 6. |
