GREEN BEANS IN TOMATO SAUCE | |
1 med. onion, chopped 1 clove garlic, chopped 2 tbsp. oil 1 1/2 lbs. green beans, cut in 3 inch pieces (5 c.) 3 med. tomatoes, chopped 1/4 c. snipped parsley 1 tsp. sugar 1 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. basil 1/8 tsp. pepper Grated Parmesan cheese Cook onion and garlic in 3 quart pan until tender. Add other ingredients, except cheese. Cover and simmer over low heat until beans are tender, 15 to 20 minutes. Sprinkle with cheese. |
