GRANDMA'S POUND CAKE 
2 sticks butter
1 stick butter
1 lb. box powdered sugar (about 3 1/2 c.)
1/4 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
2 or 3 tsp. almond flavoring
6 eggs
3 1/2 c. sifted cake flour

Cream butter and butter. Add sugar, milk and flavorings. Add eggs, one at a time, beating about a minute after each one. Add flour, a good bit at a time. Grease and flour a bundt cake pan. Pour batter into pan. Bake at 350 degrees for about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Use a toothpick to check for doneness.

Cool on a cake rack. Slice and serve. It is good plain or with fresh strawberries and ice cream. For a special treat, grandma loves a slice, toasted, for breakfast.
