CYNTHIA'S GRANDMA'S POUND CAKE 
2 c. sugar
1 c. soft butter
4 eggs
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. lemon extract
3 1/2 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt

Cream sugar and butter. Beat in eggs one at a time. Add dry ingredients alternately with buttermilk, beating together well. Add flavorings and mix. Bake in lightly floured greased angel food cake pan or loaf pans at 325 degrees for about 1 hour or until lightly browned. Cool in pan before removing.
