GRANDMA'S POUND CAKE 
1 c. butter
1 2/3 c. sugar
5 eggs
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. flavoring (vanilla, rum, almond extract)

Work butter until creamy; beat in sugar and eggs (one egg at a time). When mixture is creamy, fold in flour with a spoon. Spread in a buttered and floured pan. Bake 1 1/2 hours at 300 degrees.
