DATE MAPLE SYRUP SALAD 
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1/3 c. maple syrup (pure maple syrup is best)
1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple, drained
1/2 c. dates, chopped
1 (8 oz.) carton Cool Whip (I use a little less)
1/2 c. pecans, chopped
Pecan halves

Blend cheese and syrup. Add remaining ingredients except pecan halves. Place pecan halves on top. Refrigerate.

NOTE: Pure maple syrup is a little more expensive but well worth it.
