EGGLESS, MILKLESS, BUTTERLESS
CAKE
 
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. water
1/3 c. oil or lard
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. seedless raisins

Boil together for 3 minutes the sugar, water, lard, raisins, cinnamon and nutmeg. Let cool then add the flour that has been sifted with the soda, salt and baking powder. Bake in square pan 35 minutes at 350 degrees.
