EGGLESS BUTTERLESS MILKLESS CAKE 
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. water
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. raisins
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. cloves
1 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. baking soda
2 c. flour

In a saucepan, boil for 5 minutes the first 8 ingredients. Let ingredients stand until cool. Then add 1 teaspoon baking soda dissolved in a tablespoon of warm water. Add 2 cups flour to raisin mixture and baking soda. Bake in cake pan. Bake at 375 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes.
