SOUR ORANGE OR LEMON FILLING 
3/4 c. sugar
3 tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 tsp. salt
2/3 c. water
1 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. grated rind
1/4 c. sour orange juice

Mix sugar and cornstarch and salt in saucepan. Gradually stir in water. Over medium heat stir until mixture thickens and boils. Boil 1 minute. Remove from heat. Stir in butter and orange peel. Gradually stir in orange juice. Cool. Spread filling on two layers and top with third layer. Ice with 7 minute frosting.
