GRAPE-NUT BREAD 
1 c. Grape-Nuts
2 c. sour milk or buttermilk
1 c. brown sugar
2 tsp. baking soda
3 c. flour
3 tbsp. melted shortening
1/2 tsp. salt

Mix Grape-Nuts and milk and let stand for 1/2 hour. Mix remaining ingredients and mix into Grape-Nut mixture. Pour into 9" loaf pan (greased). Bake 1 hour in 350 degree oven. (This is a mennonite recipe.)
