CHOCOLATE CHIP OATMEAL COOKIES 
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

1/2 c. butter, softened
6 tbsp. firmly packed brown sugar
6 tbsp. granulated sugar
3/4 tsp. vanilla
Beat 1 egg

Beat together until creamy.

3/4 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Add flour mixture to cream mixture; mix well.

Stir in:

1 c. Quaker oats, uncooked
1 (6 oz.) pkg. (1 c.) semi-sweet chocolate pieces

Drop rounded teaspoonfuls onto lightly greased pan. Bake 8-10 minutes. Makes about 3 dozen.
