PRUNE CAKE 
3 1/3 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1 1/3 c. Wesson oil
4 eggs
4 tbsp. cocoa
4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. prune juice (water from boiled prunes)
1 1/2 c. prunes
1 c. sour milk (can be made with 1 teaspoon vinegar added)
2 tsp. lemon juice or lemon extract

Rinse prunes. Place in pot and cover with water. Cook until soft enough to mash. Drain liquid and reserve 1 cup. Mix oil and eggs together, then the 1 cup prune juice, milk, lemon juice. Combine all the dry ingredients and mix into wet ingredients. Line 9 x 12 inch cake pan with waxed paper. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Cool and frost.

FROSTING:

1 block butter
1 c. sugar

Add some prunes for color.
