SHEPHERD PIE 
1 lb. ground beef or deer
1 pkg. gravy mix (2 c. homemade)
1 sm. onion
1 c. cooked carrots
1 c. cooked peas
3 c. whipped potatoes
Butter to taste
Salt and pepper

Brown meat and onions in heavy skillet. Season. Prepare gravy; add meat, carrots and peas; heat. Line 2 quart casserole with whipped potatoes. Spoon meat and gravy mixture to center, then top with remaining potatoes. Cover the top with cheese. Bake 350 degrees for about 20 minutes or until cheese is melted.
