FRIED PIE CRUST | |
3 c. flour 1 c. Crisco 1 c. cold water 1 tsp. salt 2/3 c. powdered milk Mix 2 cups flour, salt, and powdered milk well. Cut in shortening until mixture is consistency of coarse meal. Add water, mix well and gradually work in remaining 1 cup flour. This dough is easily managed and can be rolled thin without tearing. Use a bowl or large lid glass and cut out pies to desired size. Fill with your favorite filling (apple, peach, cherry, pineapple). Fold over and seal edges with a little water. Fry in SMALL amount of oil. These are delicious. |
